The Downtown Calgary Network System is designed to ensure high reliability and service the power requirements of downtown's high electricity use and high customer density. The Network covers eight square kilometers and more than 90 per cent of the infrastructure is located underground in roadways, sidewalks and alleyways.
ENMAX maintains, operates and plans for future growth in the Downtown Calgary Network System and ensures the safe and reliable delivery of power with regular maintenance and upgrade programs as well as through customer driven projects.
To keep Calgarians informed on our larger projects in The Downtown Calgary Network System we've posted our downtown projects that are located on major roadways or that will have us working in an area for more than four weeks.

All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
