Current scams to be aware of:

This phone scam is targeted primarily at small business owners in Calgary who receive a fraudulent call from someone claiming to be from ENMAX. The call may appear to come from an ENMAX number. The caller says there is an outstanding balance and threatens to cut power unless an immediate payment is made, often through an unusual form of payment such as pre-paid credit cards or Bitcoin.

If you receive a suspicious phone call, hang up and do not give out any information. ENMAX does not disconnect power without fair warning and process. If you are concerned about your ENMAX account status, please call us at 310-2010.

All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area. For a current list of retailers you may choose from, visit www.ucahelps.alberta.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta).
