The sooner you take steps to addressing an overdue balance or an upcoming payment concern, the more options you have.

Installment plan (regulated accounts only - Rate of Last Resort or RRO)

The security deposit will be divided into 3 monthly payments.

Payment arrangement

A payment arrangement schedules a single or series of payments for an overdue balance.

Call our Payment Support team at 310-3010 to set up a payment arrangement or use your online account.

What to expect if your payment is late

If you miss a payment

If you miss a payment your power will not be limited or disconnected immediately, however late fees are applied to your overdue balance.

Our team will reach out to you via mail, email and phone while your account remains unpaid in an effort to help you get your account back on track.

You can also contact our knowledgeable team by chat or phone to discuss your account.

If your balance remains unpaid

If you’re on a retail contract like Easymax^®, your agreement will be cancelled, your service will be moved to the Rate of Last Resort with the regulated provider for your area of the province, and you may be charged a security deposit. The Rate of Last Resort provider for your area can be found on the Utility Consumer Advocate’s website. This means you will no longer have access to the benefits of your retail plan. You will still be responsible for paying your account balance, even after your services are cancelled.

(During the colder winter months, electricity will not be disconnected, however, a load limiter or electricity limiter will be attached to your meter during those times.)

Through your bank / financial institution

Most banks and financial institutions offer ways for you to access your account and manage bills including telephone banking and online account bill payments.
