Your electrician can help you get the right permits, which may vary by site location.

You will need a site ID to set up a new electricity connection or temporary construction service.

Customers are free to purchase natural gas or electricity services from a retailer of their choice.

Your site must be approved by your Electrical Inspection Authority, following the ENMAX metering standard, BEFORE energization.

All services rated over 200 amps must:

Did you know: Most metered services are rated over 200 amps and require ENMAX Current Transformers (CTs).

Once you have completed Step 5 and your site is safe and ready, you can request energization.

Contact your electricity retailer to request a meter installation and energization
Your electricity retailer will submit a request for ENMAX to install a meter and energize your site.

7/7

ENMAX Power will receive your request from your retailer.

If your site meets all the requirements and is safe and ready to energize, an ENMAX Power crew will complete your request.
