How meter estimates can affect your bill.

When electricity or natural gas meters can’t be read in person, the usage will be based on the last confirmed reading. In most cases meter estimates only happen for a single billing period – but there are situations where consecutive billing periods will need to be estimated.

Once a meter reader confirms electricity and natural gas usage, your account will be adjusted. When estimates are more than the actual usage, your account will be credited.

If the estimate is less than what was used, the difference will be added to your balance.

Estimated energy use that’s been corrected will appear on your bill as shown below:
