The default supplier rate schedules will be revised effective October 1, 2023 for the Calgary, Cardston, Ponoka and Red Deer service areas, which are the responsibility of ENMAX Power Corporation.
The default supplier rate applies to commercial customers who consume more than 250 megawatt hours on an annual basis and have not signed a competitive contract with a retailer.
The current rate structure, effective April 1, 2010, has a fixed demand charge per KVA plus a variable energy (MWh) charge based on AECO-C (gas price index) and a set heat rate.
Customers are free to purchase natural gas services or electricity services from a retailer of their choice. For a list of retailers, visit ucahelps.alberta.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta).
