Update on District Energy Centre Transaction

ENMAX Corporation (ENMAX) announced today the successful close of its transaction to sell the District Energy Centre, a central heating and hot water facility located in Calgary's downtown core, to Calgary District Heating Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure plc (Atlantica) (NASDAQ:AY). The transaction was originally announced November 6, 2020.

The sale of the District Energy Centre for $27 million CAD comprises less than half a percent of ENMAX's total asset base and supports ENMAX's focus on its core businesses of investing in safe, sustainable and reliable electricity services to customers.
