Fill out our questionnaire and we’ll be one step closer to figuring out the solar solution that could work for you.
Since 2009, we’ve helped Albertans use pure sunlight to help power their homes, schools and businesses. To date, we’ve installed over 600 systems representing more than 50 per cent of the installed solar in Alberta.
Thanks to new technologies, innovation and government support, the sun is truly shining on solar as an alternative for your energy.
More about our solar systems
Our panels and equipment offer a combination of reliability and cost-effectiveness.
With Government of Alberta rebates you could save $750 per kilowatt of installed solar, up to $10,000 or 30 per cent of the eligible system cost, whichever is less.
Information on rebates
You can chose to purchase your system outright or distribute your payments over a 15-year lease.

Why should I choose solar?
The answer to that question is really up to you. People choose solar for a number of reasons, from supporting new ideas and technologies to reducing their impact on the environment or becoming more self-sufficient.
If you’re looking at solar as a way to save money, it may not live up to your expectations. For example, while you may no longer have to pay for your electricity from the grid while the solar system is generating (depending on the size of your system), you would still be charged for fees related to being connected to the grid such as Transmission and Distribution fees.
How much of a rebate can I expect?
If you qualify, the amount of your rebate will depend on the size of your system.
The Alberta Government rebate is based on the size of the installation and set at $0.75 per Watt. This means that if your system is four kilowatts (kW), your rebate could be $3,000.
You should know that the maximum rebate is the lesser of $10,000 or 30 per cent of eligible system cost.
You can learn more about rebates on the

What does it cost to install a solar system on my home?
How much your system will cost will depend on a few factors, including the number of panels and any additional equipment required. Current solar pricing varies, but may be in the range of $2.60 to $3.20 per Watt installed.
In addition, you should also consider the condition of your roof and any required electrical upgrades to wiring when thinking about costs.
Do I need to connect my system to the grid?
Yes. Because our systems do not have battery storage, you’ll need to be connected to the grid so that you’ll continue to have electricity during the night or when sunlight is limited.
How much electricity can I generate?
Alberta’s Micro-Generation Regulation allows you to install a system able to generate enough electricity to cover all or a portion of electricity you use.
If you produce more electricity than you use at any point in time, the extra will be returned to the grid and any credit you receive will be based on an agreement with your electricity provider.
All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
