ENMAX's outstanding safety record nets two Canadian Electricity Association awards

Calgary, Alta. – ENMAX is proud to have its commitment to safety recognized with two awards from the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA).

Every year, the CEA recognizes utility companies across Canada who set the bar for industry safety standards. This year, ENMAX is pleased to accept the President’s Award of Excellence for Employee Safety in Transmission and the President's Award of Excellence for Employee Safety in Distribution.

The President's Award is given to electricity service providers who have achieved the top ranking in Total Recordable Injury Frequency among their peers.

"Safety is a core value at ENMAX and it’s part of everything we do," said Jason Doering, Vice President Safety at ENMAX. "These awards recognize the commitment to health and safety that I see across ENMAX every day, from the front lines to the board room. As a member of the CEA, ENMAX follows the national standard for Canadian utility companies and reports statistical safety data on an annual basis. In the past decade. ENMAX’s safety performance has consistently ranked among the top quartile utility companies in its category.
