Move in and move out dates
Your new address
A phone number that we can contact you at (before, during and after the move if possible)
Also, if you haven’t done so, setting up an online account can be a convenient way to manage your account and move

Can I transfer my plan from Easymax when I move?

If you’re moving in Alberta in most cases you can take your energy with you. Simply sign-in to your online account, or call us at 310-4010 and we’ll help get you set up.

I’m moving to Alberta, how do I set up my electricity?

First - welcome to Alberta. You can choose a competitive retail plan for your electricity and natural gas or the Rate of Last Resort in your service area.

Customers are free to purchase natural gas services or electricity services from a retailer of their choice. For a list of retailers, visit ucahelps.alberta.ca or call 310-4822 (toll free in Alberta).

Is there anything special that I need to do with my electricity when moving?

You should let your energy provider know as soon as possible about your plans – moving date, or any other changes to your account.

If you're an Easymax customer and moving within Alberta, it's likely you can take your energy plan with you.

Do I need to turn off my meter (fuse box main power supply) at my old home when I move?

No, cutting the power may lead to serious damage or other issues. Simply contact us and tell them when you’re moving. They’ll manage the transfer to the new owners.
