ENMAX appoints new Executive Vice President, Regulatory and Chief Legal Officer

ENMAX today announced that Erica Young has been appointed Executive Vice President, Regulatory and Chief Legal Officer, replacing Robert Hemstock who transitioned to a new role on June 30, 2016.

As Executive Vice President, Regulatory and Chief Legal Officer, Erica is responsible for regulatory and legal matters across the organization. Erica has a breadth of legal, corporate and electricity industry experience, and most recently served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for NaturEner Energy Canada. At NaturEner, she was the executive team member responsible for the company's participation in business transactions, regulatory, litigation and stakeholder advocacy processes connected to the Alberta electricity industry. She was responsible for legal matters relating to the company's long-term transmission rights strategy and also led regulatory applications for relevant Alberta electricity market rules, renewable energy and transmission project approvals.

Erica began her career with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto where she worked as a corporate lawyer with a diverse practice, including matters pertaining to the transmission, distribution and generation of energy. She then went on to serve as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Total Energy Services. Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Lakehead University, a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School and an Advanced Certificate in U.S. Energy Law from the UC Berkeley School of Law.
