UFE Reasonableness Exception Report

Unaccounted for Energy (UFE) represents loads that are not metered, profiled or allocated as losses. UFE accounts for meter inaccuracies, possible theft, an error in loss adjustment, or profile creation and estimation variances.

UFE is calculated as the system load total for each hour minus the sum of the allocated hourly loads for each site, plus their allocated losses.

UFE is attributed to individual sites based on their energy usage as a percentage of the entire zone usage.

UFE Tolerance Rules are described in the Settlement System Code (AUC Rule 021). If UFE percentages fall outside the UFE Tolerance Rules, the UFE Reasonableness Exception Report is updated by ENMAX Power Corporation's Regulated Market Services to communicate the reason for the variances.

For a description of the fields contained in the UFE Reasonableness Exception Report, please refer to the Settlement System Code (AUC Rule 021).
