Secondary Network Systems

​A Secondary Network is a complex power grid with a web of multiple parallel sources of power to each customer. The benefit for customers connected to these systems is they should rarely experience interruptions in power. The design of a Secondary Network does NOT allow customers to export power to the grid due to safety and technical reasons.

Within the city of Calgary, ENMAX Power has four Secondary Networks. Please refer to the Network boundary maps for more information.
