Today, ENMAX Energy launched a new personalized tool called My Energy IQ™ to help Albertans take better control of their energy use and costs. The program, an Alberta first, features dynamic tools to make smarter energy choices.

The My Energy IQ™ program is a value-added benefit offered to most ENMAX Energy residential and small business customers. It consists of an online portal, tangible tools and customizable reports that answer questions like:
- How do I use energy and what can I do to save money over time?
- How does my energy use compare to other nearby homes?
- How can I update my information to create my personal energy savings plan and receive tips tailored to my home?
- If I make some changes, how can I tell if they're making a difference?
The My Energy IQ™ software, new to Alberta and created by Opower, is used by over 95 utilities around the world, resulting in the following savings:
- 8 billion kilowatt hours of energy
- $1 billion on utility bills
- Over 3.1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide
