ENMAX is warning customers about a new text message scam that attempts to obtain personal banking information by posing as ENMAX. Several customers have reported receiving a text message sent from a 604 area code that claims to be from "ENMAX Corporations." The fraudulent message alleges that ENMAX owes you a refund that can be obtained by clicking the link in the text and submitting your personal banking details.
Please take the time to warn friends and family that this message is not from ENMAX, it is a scam.
ENMAX does not communicate with customers by text message or issue refunds by e-transfer. We will only discuss your account details with you over the phone.
