​6 Avenue SW

(between Centre Street and 1 Street SW)

Project Overview

To meet the growing electricity needs in downtown Calgary, we are installing new electrical services on 6 Avenue SW between Centre Street and 1 Street SW.

The work includes the following:

  • upgrade an existing manhole located on the southeast corner of 1 Street SW and 6 Avenue SW
  • new duct banks on the north and south sides of 6 Avenue SW
  • new electrical vault on the north side of 6 Avenue SW
  • associated electrical components and connections to the existing system

    • ENMAX is working with The City of Calgary to maintain the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic while providing a safe environment for our crews and the public.

Project status

Construction is scheduled from April to September 2018. There will be no construction activities during the 2018 Calgary Stampede.
