No, you are only responsible for services billed under your name. In addition to this;
The services you need to set up with ENMAX Energy will depend on what area you live in and what services are at your property. The most common services you will need to set up are electricity and some City services.
Yes. ENMAX can invoice each property on its own statement and send all statements to a single address.
The party responsible for billing must contact ENMAX to setup an account. As a Landlord, you cannot setup services in your tenants name. Below are several pieces of information related to being a Landlord in ENMAX service territory;
ENMAX will not disclose the name of a customer billing at a specific address, however we can disclose if there is a vacancy at the address (A vacancy means no one has applied for service at the location).
Due to privacy laws, ENMAX is unable to release information to anyone that is not listed as a contact person on an account. This means if a tenant has accepted responsibility for services, ENMAX will not release information regarding the account to anyone other than those specified by the tenant. Landlords have the option to leave services billing in their name and collect payment from the tenant. Any notification of disruption of service will be delivered to the address where service is delivered.
As an owner, you need to notify ENMAX Energy every time you need to invoice for services in your name. ENMAX Energy will not set up services for a tenant based on information received from a Landlord unless the tenant has signed a Tenant Application Form.
If a tenant moves out and no new party applies for services the owner will be invoiced and a statement will be mailed.
No, you are only responsible for services billed under your name. In the event that you resume service under the Landlord agreement and your tenants had been disconnected, you will be responsible for the fee to re-energize your meter.

If a tenant moves out and no new party applies for services you will automatically be moved in for billing and a statement will be mailed to the address indicated in the Landlord Agreement. Any discrepancy in service dates as provided to ENMAX by the tenant will be the responsibility of the owner.
The Landlord Agreement does not give you access to confidential billing information on a tenant's account, including the status of the service. Notification for disruption of service will be delivered to the account holder and/or the premise address.
A property manager cannot add/remove a property to an existing Landlord Agreement, only the agreement holder can complete this request.
In the event you would still like a property manager to have access to your account for billing or administration purposes, please call us at 310-2010 with their information and ENMAX Energy will add this person as a contact on your account.
