Project Overview

In order to ensure the continued reliability of the electrical system, ENMAX Power Corporation (EPC) is proposing to replace a one kilometre section of a double circuit transmission line and associated components on the existing transmission line located on Home Road and 32 Ave NW. This line runs south along Home Road NW to 13 Ave NW.


Project Description

The proposed project consists of the following:
  • Remove and replace seven (7) existing steel lattice structures and their components. The structures will be replaced with steel monopole structures set in concrete
  • Four (4) of the new structures will have a distribution underbuild, with the remainder of the existing distribution line relocated to underground facilities
  • All replacement poles will be located within approximately five (5) metres of the existing structures with the exception of pole 69-15.62-19 wich will be 45 metres north of its existing location.
