The delivery of safe, reliable electricity service is essential to our lives, and any time ENMAX is faced with circumstances outside of normal business operations, we take active steps to ensure continuity in our service and support to our customers and communities.
There are currently no service interruptions related to COVID-19 and we continue to take prudent measures to ensure the health of our team and the reliability of our system and services.
Today, many members of the ENMAX team across Alberta are working remotely, with no disruption to our operations or our customer service. There are also team members who remain stationed at our operating facilities and within the field, including field crews, meter readers, customer care representatives and generation plant operators. We want to recognize their exemplary service to our customers and communities.
A series of stringent health and safety practices have been put in place to protect ENMAX team members who must continue to work at our facilities and in the field, including physical distancing and wearing face masks when physical distancing isn’t possible due to the nature of our work.
If you see our ENMAX team members in your neighbourhood, please do not approach them. Follow physical distancing practices by remaining at least six feet away.
We recognize that during these challenging times, the continuity of safe, reliable power is important. Accordingly, we have temporarily postponed several residential, non-emergency maintenance and infrastructure projects that involve outages. However, as these circumstances continue, we may be required to complete some critical projects in order to continue to provide safe, reliable services.
If outages are required for essential maintenance work, customers will be notified in advance and we will work to minimize the impact and duration.
We appreciate your patience and support as we work to keep the power flowing during these unprecedented circumstances.
