ENMAX Corporation is advising motorists of traffic disruptions that will impact select offramps from Deerfoot Trail to intersecting roadways in the coming days. Traffic will be reduced to one lane for specified times (see below). Additionally, traffic to the offramps may be stopped completely for brief durations. These measures are taken to ensure the safety of on-site crews. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to the affected area.
The work being conducted by ENMAX's contractor, Valard Construction LP, primarily involves the stringing of new transmission lines that, when installed, will be able to carry a higher electrical load. This work is to reinforce Substation 54 that became operational in April 2013. Substation 54 enhances power reliability to the new South Health Campus and continues to meet the growing demand for electricity in Auburn Bay, Cranston, and other southeastern Calgary communities.
Media will be advised daily when the work is complete and impacted lanes re-opened.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane at the offramps from southbound and northbound Deerfoot Trail to 130 Ave. and McKenzie Towne Blvd. S.E. during the following times:
Monday, November 25: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Tuesday, November 26: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 27: 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Media will be advised when the lanes have been reopened.
