ENMAX volunteers help collect thousands of bears for Alberta families

Calgary, Alta. – The spirit of community was on full display at the Okotoks Dawgs’ second annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Easymax by ENMAX Energy on Saturday, July 26, where more than 2,150 teddy bears were collected to be distributed to children and families in need.

Follow the fifth inning, fans were invited to toss bears onto the field in support of organizations like Alberta Children’s Hospital, Rowan House and Variety – the Children’s Charity of Alberta. More than 60 ENMAX volunteers and their families were in attendance to help gather the donations after the bears flew onto the field.

“Supporting the communities where we live and work is part of the who we are at ENMAX,” says Corry Poole, Vice President, Mass Market and Retail at ENMAX. “It was incredible to see so many people come together for such a meaningful cause and we’re proud to have played a part in that.”

As presenting sponsor through Easymax by ENMAX Energy, ENMAX is proud to support initiatives that bring people together and create lasting impact. The donated bears will now make their way to new homes across Okotoks and Calgary, offering comfort and joy to those who need it most.
