What is Energy Insights for Easymax?  

Energy Insights is included with every Easymax® plan. It gives you a clear, simple view of your billing totals and energy usage over the past two years. You’ll see easy-to-read graphs that show your bill total and break it down by service, including electricity, natural gas and municipal services.

 

Where can I find my Energy Insights?

Energy Insights is available in your Easymax online account. If you don’t have an online account yet, you can set one up with your account number and phone number. 

 

What does Energy Insights include?

Energy Insights includes interactive graphs related to your personal billing and usage information.

The total bill graph shows your charges and usage that went toward each of your services. That could include electricity, natural gas and municipal services. It also separates miscellaneous charges and credits such as referral credits.

Service-specific graphs

View graphs for each service to see your total charge and usage for electricity, natural gas, or municipal services individually.

You can also see your average monthly bill and usage, plus filter for seasonal or yearly totals. 

 

Why is knowing my annual usage helpful? 

Annual totals are useful if you’re thinking about adding solar to your home or other investments that might impact your energy use such as electric vehicle charging or changes to your heating and cooling systems.

 

How is weather used in Energy Insights?

Each graph includes a line showing average weather for your area. This helps explain changes in energy use. Higher usage often happens during cold months when we use our furnaces more and hot months when we use air conditioning.

 

How often is my data updated?

Your data is updated as soon as your bill is available in your account. The graphs reflect the latest information right away.

 

Can I download or export my usage data?

Energy Insights is view-only within your online account and can’t be exported at this time.

 

How far back does my energy usage history go?

You can view up to two years of billing history. If you’re a new customer, your data will build over time as it becomes available.

 

How can I tell if my energy usage is high or low?

Energy Insights helps you understand your usage by showing personalized comparisons and monthly trends. It’s especially helpful to compare similar seasons, since weather can affect energy use. Instead of comparing your home to others, it focuses on your own data so you can see what’s typical for you.

 

Can I see my usage by appliance or room?

No. Energy Insights shows the overall usage for your entire property.

 

Can I sign up for email summaries?

Emailed reports aren’t available yet. To get notified when they’re available, make sure you’re opted in to receive marketing and promotional emails. You can update your preferences in the “View or edit my profile”  section of your online account.

 

Can I opt out of Energy Insights?

No. Energy Insights is a built-in feature of every Easymax plan and is automatically included in your online account. Find your Energy Insights in your Easymax account today!
