Our Board of Directors works in partnership with our Executive leadership team to create a culture of sustainable business practices throughout our organization. We achieve this by ensuring our business decisions and practices take into account the well being of our team, our customers, the communities we serve, the environment we operate within, the reliability of our energy supply, and the resiliency of our electricity infrastructure.

In 2019, ENMAX achieved the Canadian Electricity Association’s (CEA) designation as a Sustainable Electricity Company. This designation recognizes the importance ENMAX places on our environment, social and governance performance.
We currently report on over 100 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Standards focused on environmental, societal, economic and governance indicators.

We delivered improved financial results in 2019 as compared to 2018 and remained focused on delivering value to our stakeholders and our Shareholder, the City of Calgary.

The term "stakeholder" refers to internal and external groups that may be affected by our actions and whose actions have the potential to impact our business decisions. Our key stakeholder groups include our customers, the communities in which we operate, industry peers, our Shareholder and our employees. We collaborate with these groups to understand the areas of our business that have the greatest impact on our stakeholders and ensure we are transparent in how we are managing and/or operating in these areas.
ENMAX also considers these issues material and each are incorporated to our disclosure directly or addressed elsewhere through our corporate reporting.
