Capacity Grant Request

Our ENMAX Community Spark Grant helps local charities and non-profits build the strong foundations they need to thrive. Whether it’s upgrading technology, improving internal systems, strengthening leadership, or planning for the future, our grant provides practical support where it’s needed most.

Funding details: 

  • Application Open Date: October 1, 2026
  • Application Close Date: October 31, 2026
  • Recipient Notification Date: November 30, 2026
  • Organizations will be funded up to a maximum of $15,000.
  • Eligible projects must be one-time initiatives that can be completed, with funds spent, within one year of funds being issued.   

Eligibility requirements:

Who is eligible:

  • You must be able to demonstrate a clear need for capacity building support and show organizational readiness to successfully carry out the proposed funding request.

Who is not eligible:

  • Organizations that have received funding from ENMAX within the past 12 months.
  • Organizations led by an ENMAX employee.
  • Religious or political organizations.

Grant funding cannot be used for:

  • Ongoing programs and services or operational expenses including rent and utilities
  • Purchase of land or buildings
  • Entertainment and hospitality
  • Fines, penalties, or legal fees
  • Expenses already paid
