ENMAX reports financial results for third quarter

/ Calgary

ENMAX Corporation today announced its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2012. Net earnings from continuing operations for the quarter were $45.4 million, up 8 per cent when compared to earnings of $42.1 million in third quarter of the prior year. The year over year improvement in net earnings from continuing operations was the result of higher margins from our regulated business and tax recoveries. This brings year-to-date net earnings from continuing operations to $161.1 million, up from $138.6 million for the same period last year.

“We're pleased with our third quarter results as we continue to grow and invest in Alberta," said Gianna Manes, President and CEO, ENMAX Corporation. "In particular, our solid safety performance in 2012 is an example of the hard work and dedication of our employees as they serve customers in communities across the province, building and maintaining important infrastructure”
