ENMAX Power is committed to ensuring the communities we serve are engaged and updated about projects in their neighbourhoods.
Projects > Downtown Calgary Network Projects
The Downtown Calgary Network System is designed to ensure high reliability and service the power requirements of downtown's high electricity use and high customer density. The Network covers eight square kilometers and more than 90 per cent of the infrastructure is located underground in roadways, sidewalks and alleyways.
To continue offering industry-leading reliability and accommodate Calgary's continued growth, ENMAX Power invests responsibly in infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. We're working to build new infrastructure, maintain existing systems and contribute to the City of Calgary's largest infrastructure project ever, the Green Line LRT.
We understand construction can create some inconveniences for those people living and working in the downtown core, such as traffic lane, sidewalk closures or intermittent construction noise. Click on the icons in the map below to learn more and stay informed about our projects.
