ENMAX Energy C​orporation offers a variety of services that we bill depending on the needs of the consumer. Below are some of the charges you could expect to see on your invoice.

​Electric energy

​These charg​es are for the cost of electric energy usage and retailer service.

​Natural gas energy

​These charges are for the cost of natural gas energy usage and retailer service.

​Delivery charges

​On behalf of the Distribution System Owner, these charges are the regulated cost of transporting energy to consumers.

​Water charges

​ENMAX Energy invoices water on behalf of the City of Calgary and the Town of Cardston. These charges are for the cost of water based on your water usage. Your water usage is measured in cubic meters.

​Sewer c​h​ar​ges

​Your sewer charges are for the cost of sewer which is based on a percentage of the water usage.

​Waste and recycling

​On behalf of the City of Calgary and Town of Cardston these charges are for​ the cost of the blue cart recycling program and the black cart garbage collection program.

Billing Q&A

  • I am moving/changing my address. How do I let you know?

    ​You can process your move in the My Account page, or call 310-2010 or 1-877-571-7111 (Outside Alberta) and a call centre representative will be happy to help you.

  • Where can I find my account balance or how much I owe?

    ​You can find your account balance by logging in to your account online, by looking at page one of your current invoice or by calling 310-2010 or 1-877-571-7111 (Outside Alberta) to speak to a call centre representative.

  • Does the rate I pay for electricity change every month?
    If you are on the regulated rate or a floating/variable rate, your rate can rise or fall from month to month.
  • Why are my bills always estimated?

    ​If our meter reader can not access your meter, a card will be left in your mailbox inviting you to read your meter and call it in.
    If you decided not to take your own reading, your energy consumption will be based on estimated readings rather than your actual consumption.
    If you live in Calgary or Red Deer, information on reading your meter can be found in our Meter Services section.

  • What is a Site ID?

    ​A Site ID is a number which refers to a static location where a utility is delivered.
    Think of this as the numeric address for the meter. These numbers are assigned by the utility distributor and are used as the carrier for meter reads.
    Site ID’s for each utility service are specific (meaning that there is a site ID for gas, and a different one for electricity).
    The site ID can be found on page three of your ENMAX invoice.
