Customer Care​

The services you need to set up with ENMAX Energy will depend on what area you live in and what services are at your property. The most common services you will need to set up are electricity and some City services. 

The party responsible for billing must contact ENMAX to setup an account. As a Landlord, you cannot setup services in your tenants name. Below are several pieces of information related to being a Landlord in ENMAX service territory;

• ENMAX will bill a tenant for services at a rental property only for the time where a tenant has accepted responsibility.
• ENMAX will bill the owner of the property for services when no tenant has applied.   
• ENMAX will not backdate move in or move out information.   A tenant’s responsibility for services will not be altered based on a tenant’s rental agreement with the landlord.
• A Landlord has the option to leave the utilities in their name and collect payment from the tenant, however the Landlord is liable for all charges while the account is in their name.​

As an owner, you need to notify ENMAX Energy every time you need to invoice for services in your name.  ENMAX Energy will not set up services for a tenant based on information received from a Landlord unless the tenant has signed a Tenant Application Form.
