​Transformer Opening Form

This form is for:

  • Opening a transformer or pedestal so that wires can be added or removed.

Why do I need this form?

  • Pulling out old wire from an ENMAX transformer or pedestal.
  • Pulling in new wire into an ENMAX transformer or pedestal.

Things to know before you start:

  • Please call Site Servicing at 403-514-3716 or email getconnected@enmax.com so we can confirm that the transformer is suitable for your request.
  • Metal Fish Tape is not permitted for use. Fiberglass Fish Tape or other non-conductive device must be used.

To complete this form you will need to know the following:

  • Time and date for pulling in/out wire
  • Estimated hours of work required to complete the wire pulling
  • Wire type (Aluminum or Copper)
  • Wire Size
  • Number of conductors
  • Wires to be pulled in our out
  • Transformer/pedestal number

  • We require a minimum of 3 business days’ notice to schedule all requests. Service charges may apply for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance.

  • The charge to complete the requested work is based upon the estimated time to complete the work and travel time; however, this charge is an estimate only and customer is responsible for all actual costs of the work. ENMAX will issue an invoice or a refund to the customer for any differences between actual and estimated costs. Additionally, If onsite conditions result in a variance from the estimated time required to complete the work, an adjustment to the amount charged may be applied.
