Transmission line: High voltage power line that transports large quantities of power over long distances.
Post insulator: An essential component to an overhead transmission line, used to support the weight of the wire. These connect the wires to the poles or cross-arms so that electricity does not flow from wire-to-wire or down the poles to the ground.
H-frame structure: A structure made of wood, steel and fiberglass, designed to support and carry overhead transmission lines.
Laminate wood pole:A self-supporting structure made of wood, designed to support and carry overhead transmission lines.
