Environmental programs and team member involvement recognized for 11th time since 2009
Calgary, Alta. – ENMAX Corporation is honoured to be recognized as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for the 11th time.
“ENMAX has long operated with sustainability and environmental responsibility in mind,” said Jennifer Saldana, Director, ESG Performance and Reporting. “This recognition highlights our team’s commitment to weave that focus into everything we do and bring sustainable energy solutions to our communities.”
For the award, Mediacorp Canada evaluated ENMAX using criteria including employee involvement and environmental management programs.
A few highlights that set ENMAX apart include:
ENMAX's use of goats to manage weeds at Cavalier Energy Centre – over 270 goats have grazed on weeds at the facility, reducing the need for traditional herbicides while aerating, mulching and fertilizing the soil naturally.
ENMAX’s role as a public advocate of energy conservation and alternative energy production in Alberta, supporting a range of large and small renewable energy programs for both business and residential customers across Alberta.
ENMAX’s community partnerships to help consumers be more energy efficient, including working with Green Calgary to deliver free, energy efficiency workshops.
