Calgary, Alta. – ENMAX is pleased to support Edmonton’s most vulnerable with a $100,000 donation over two years to Bissell Centre’s Community Bridge program.

Community Bridge is a rapid response intervention program to stop eviction, utility disconnection or foreclosure. It is a one-time assistance program which is used as a last resort once all other options have been explored.

"Our support of community partners like Bissell Centre will help increase their capacity to continue their vital work supporting those experiencing challenges with their energy costs."

Bissell Centre in Edmonton provides services and supports for the city’s most vulnerable, with a goal to end poverty. The Community Bridge program provides financial coaching to create a budget and a financial action plan, guidance to negotiate with a property owner or utility company, and support to create a sustainable pathway out of crisis.

"Our Community Bridge Program keeps people in their homes despite the risk of imminent eviction. Without ENMAX and their financial contribution, many individuals and families would be left with nowhere to turn.
