The Alberta government announced plans to end the rate cap (6.8¢/kWh) on the RRO effective November 30, 2019.
The RRO, also known as the floating rate, can rise, fall or stay the same from month to month.
After the rate cap is removed, the RRO price you pay may see greater swings.
