Transmission Line Alteration - Green Line 26 Ave SE

Project Overview

ENMAX Power Corporation (ENMAX) is proposing to modify an existing transmission line to accommodate routing of the City of Calgary Green Line LRT Project between Inglewood and 26 Avenue SE. ENMAX has determined existing transmission poles are in direct conflict with the current design of the Green Line LRT.

Project Status

ENMAX filed an application with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) for the proposed work on January 15, 2018. The AUC issued a decision approving the project and new permits and licenses on February 4, 2018. Construction is scheduled to start in early April 2018 with completion by the end of April 2018.
