Construction on the Shepard Energy Centre began in July 2011 and has made considerable progress since that time.
Construction cameras have captured the progress since January 2012, documenting the placement of the massive turbines in July 2012 after their journey across the globe during the spring of 2012.
Upon its completion in 2015, the Shepard Energy Centre will be the largest natural gas-fired generation facility of its kind in Western Canada.
Keep watching our site for construction updates, interesting articles and photos capturing the progress from the ground up.

The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
