A message from President & CEO Gianna Manes

The delivery of electricity service is essential and, any time we're faced with circumstances outside of normal business operations, ENMAX takes proactive steps to reinforce our ability to safely and reliably deliver electricity and energy services to homes, businesses and communities.
ENMAX has been closely monitoring COVID-19 and continues to follow prudent measures to ensure the health and safety of our team and the community and the continuity of our services to our customers.
As part of our COVID-19 response, we have taken the following steps:

  • Dedicated personnel to ensure we are closely monitoring, responding to and planning for COVID-19 developments as they occur.
  • Implemented a COVID-19 relief program to provide more flexible payment options to affected customers and suspended disconnection for non-payment.
  • Donated $50,000 in community response funding to our partner community service agencies including Distress Centre Calgary, Aspen Family and Community Network Society, and the Bissell Centre and provided a $6 million special dividend to the City of Calgary. 
  • Implemented protocols around employee remote working, and added stringent health and safety measures for team members who continue to work in the community to serve our customers and maintain our systems.
  • Ongoing collaboration with industry peers, partner organizations and local emergency preparedness agencies.

Although the Public Health Agency of Canada currently indicates the risk in Canada and Alberta is low, we continue to monitor the situation and take proactive steps. We are well prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any developments while maintaining our commitment to providing reliable electricity services.
We encourage all customers to stay informed from official sources including Alberta Health Services, the Public Health Agency of Canada and The World Health Organization.
