Helping Albertans

Electricity is an essential service and access to safe, reliable and affordable energy is critical to our quality of life. At ENMAX, we are committed to strengthening our communities through meaningful and dedicated support for those experiencing hardship at each stage of the energy affordability lifecycle.

"At a time when costs are going up for Calgarians across the board, we’re pleased to partner with ENMAX which continues to show up for our community,” said Karen Young, President and CEO, United Way of Calgary & Area. “ENMAX’s generosity continues to make a real difference in the lives of those struggling with increased costs.”

If you, or someone you know, is struggling to pay an energy bill, resources are available that can help.

Partner Spotlight – Trellis Society

Trellis Society works with people of all ages and backgrounds to help them grow, overcome barriers, and reach their full potential.

For over 20 years ENMAX has partnered with Trellis to support people in crisis and prevent further trauma, such as homelessness, from occurring. In 2022 we celebrated reaching the milestone of $1M of cumulative giving for Trellis programs and the people they serve.

“We often meet people at an intersection in their life when they are the most vulnerable. Times when basic needs such as a home, groceries, heat and electricity are in jeopardy,” says Jeff Dyer, CEO, Trellis Society. “Whether providing direct utility subsidy and support, empowering people through energy savings workshops or volunteering, ENMAX continues to be our partner in creating solutions that provide immediate and long-term impact for Calgarians who need support.”

“At ENMAX, we believe in the power of community and giving back, helping to strengthen the communities in which we all live and work,” says Kara Kingston, Director, Brand, Communications and Community at ENMAX. “ENMAX is proud to support our community partners such as Trellis and help them provide essential services for those in need.”
