Providing support to vulnerable customers

To support vulnerable customers with energy affordability and other essential needs, we have long-standing relationships with key Alberta partners including Trellis Society, Distress Centre Calgary, United Way of Calgary & Area, United Way of Central Alberta and Bissell Centre. These partnerships allow us to help customers access the resources and support they need.

Partner Spotlight – Distress Centre Calgary

During tough times, Distress Centre has been there to listen and offer hope to those who need it.

Since 2011, ENMAX has partnered with Distress Centre to support Calgarians facing challenging circumstances. Through our partnership, ENMAX contributes to Distress Centre’s Basic Needs Fund, which offers emergency support to families in need of financial assistance. In addition, ENMAX sponsors the annual volunteer appreciation event which celebrates and recognizes the selfless volunteers on the frontlines.

“ENMAX has been partnering with Distress Centre Calgary since 2011 in the provision of our Basic Needs Fund program,” says Robyn Romano, CEO, Distress Centre. “This program is instrumental in helping Calgarians facing a financial crisis. With the rising costs of living and pandemic recovery, this support is needed now more than ever. We are thankful to ENMAX for their continued support of this program and help meeting the needs of vulnerable Calgarians.”
