Canada’s first hybrid generation.

ENMAX Energy led the country by installing a battery storage system on an existing natural gas turbine at the Crossfield Energy Centre. This hybrid solution reduces the run time of the turbine by 80 per cent and eliminates an estimated 45,000 tonnes of GHG emissions annually.

To help advance vehicle electrification, ENMAX Fleet Services is the proud owner of two medium-duty fully electric trucks. This first-in-Canada project will test the trucks’ performance in all weather conditions.
