As part of our focus on safety, ENMAX launched a 12 month 'Why I Work Safely' campaign, featuring employees from across the company stating their reason for working safely.
Additionally, featured employees also select an ENMAX Safe Actions for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) symbol that they most relate to, connecting their personal accountability to safety to the organization.
The campaign extends to non-featured employees as well, via magnetic frames and key chains that state, 'Why I work safely', with a place to insert a photo. Employees select a photo to represent the reason they work safely, inspiring conversation among coworkers about why working safely is important.
In 2015 we reset our target to achieve a TRIF of less than 1.0 each year for the next five years. Unfortunately we did not achieve this target in 2015. Our past year's safety performance is not acceptable by our own standards and we are taking diligent steps to improve our results.
