"ENMAX employees always step up and help out in the community and this year's United Way campaign once again highlighted that," said Gianna Manes, ENMAX President and CEO and this year's Calgary and Area United Way co-chair. "These efforts and donations really do make a difference in the lives of Calgarians."
Employees also showed their support by volunteering their time. Throughout the month of September they lent a hand at several United Way-funded agencies – from serving breakfast at Community Kitchen to helping to build a house with Habitat for Humanity, Edmonton.
"Only by getting involved do you see the real needs of the community and how appreciative the recipients of these services are for your support," said this year's campaign co-chair Vaughn Bend, who helped serve breakfast at the Drop-In Centre.
Together, through the efforts of our workplace campaign, employees will have a lasting impact on fighting poverty, helping kids thrive and building stronger communities.
