Celebrating Diversity

In September 2017, ENMAX was honoured to have the opportunity to participate in Calgary’s Pride Parade. A strong employee turnout, along with friends and family of the ENMAX team, celebrated Calgary’s diversity by walking in the parade alongside 125 other community groups, corporations and public figures in Calgary’s 27th annual Pride Parade.

“ENMAX was thrilled to be the first utility to partner with Calgary Pride,” said Michelle Hogaboam, Manager of Community Investment and Sponsorship. “Pride is about celebrating the diversity of our city, a diversity that’s reflected in the culture we have here at ENMAX.”

Safety is on target

We exceeded our safety target in 2016, reducing recordable injuries by 36 per cent compared to 2015. This commitment to safety was exemplified by ENMAX Power’s Civil Works team, who reached a decade witout a lost time injury, and ENMAX Energy’s Generation team who was recognized by the Canadian Electricity Association for their top quartile safety performance.

Field of dreams for the Dream Centre

It was a field of dreams for both our meter readers and the Dream Centre last year. Taking to the diamond in a slo-pitch game with Dream Centre clients, ENMAX's meter readers noticed that the non-profit organization didn’t have enough gloves and equipment to go around.

They ‘stepped up to the plate’ in more ways than one, collecting sports equipment to outfit the Dream Centre with new and used gear that will give more clients the opportunity to play ball.
