Our Customer Care Centre provides billing and customer service to our Shareholder, The City of Calgary for water, sewer, waste and recycling services. In 2013, when the contract for providing these municipal services expired, we worked collaboratively with The City to implement a new agreement.
Building on our strong relationship and mutual goals of serving the citizens of Calgary, the contract aligns governance structure, contract performance, and cost of services.
The new 10 year agreement is developed on a foundation that includes provisions for change management and quarterly and annual reporting.
The contract is based on a pay-per-customer structure, meaning a growth or decline in customer accounts will be adjusted accordingly in the contract.
By updating the agreement, we were able to develop a governance framework that ensures performance measures are achieved with respect to cost, service, and quality for the next 10 years.
All customers are free to purchase natural gas services from the default supply provider or from a retailer of their choice and to purchase electricity services from the regulated rate provider or from a retailer of their choice. The delivery of natural gas and electricity to you is not affected by your choice. If you change who you purchase natural gas services or electricity services from, you will continue receiving natural gas and electricity from the distribution company in your service area.
