2015 Financial Summary

"In 2015, we commissioned Shepard Energy Centre, Alberta’s largest natural gas-fuelled generation plant and invested in Calgary’s electrical infrastructure – all critical to the reliable delivery of power to Albertans and Calgarians. As we look ahead, we continue to take necessary steps to weather challenging market conditions. With Alberta’s slow economic growth and the uncertainty surrounding implementation of the Provincial Government’s Climate Leadership Plan, we are exercising caution in investments. We will also focus on realizing efficiencies and savings to continue to generate value for our customers, communities and shareholder, The City of Calgary."

- Gianna Manes, ENMAX President and CEO

ENMAX Corporation's long-term strategy of maintaining a strong financial position and an investment grade credit rating has provided a solid foundation to create value in our capital-intensive and commodity-sensitive business environment.

Throughout 2015, we remained focused on executing our strategy by delivering safe, reliable transmission and distribution services to The City of Calgary, while we grew our competitive generation assets and retail business in Alberta.

Our net earnings from continuing operations were $156.4 million and we continued to deliver value to our shareholder through a $56 million dividend paid to The City of Calgary. We have always been focused on managing our costs, so with the downturn in the economy, we were well positioned to weather these market conditions. We remain focused on delivering strong value for our customers and shareholder.

ENMAX declared a dividend of $47 million to be paid to The City of Calgary in 2016.
