In Alberta, the energy market is deregulated. This means you have a choice in who supplies you with your electricity and/or natural gas. With ENMAX Energy, you have two options.
You can sign up for the Regulated Rate Option (RRO) for electricity whereby the rate you pay monthly for electricity fluctuates with market prices.
Or, you can choose to sign up for EasyMax® by ENMAX Energy. With EasyMax, you can choose whether you want us to supply your natural gas and electricity, or electricity only and you can mix and match any electricity plan with any natural gas plan. Whichever EasyMax plan you choose, you can switch your plan once a month‡ or cancel without penalty with one month's notice.

If you'd like to sign up for EasyMax, you will need your electricity and natural gas site identification numbers (site IDs) which can be found on your bill. If you don't have your bill handy, you can look up your site IDs during the sign up process. Use our quick and easy online EasyMax enrollment process and we'll take care of everything.
When you sign up for EasyMax, the transition can take up to 40 days. Until then, you will continue to receive bills from your existing supplier. If you require an account set up immediately, you will need to sign up for the Regulated Rate Option with your local provider to ensure you receive electricity service quickly. You will also have to contact your local gas supplier to do the same.
