What are the EasyMax Plan Options?

EasyMax Fixed Rate Options

If budget control and price stability are important to your business, then you may consider the fixed rate options. With the fixed electricity and/or rate options you pay the same fixed per kWh electricity rate for 5 years and/or the same fixed per GJ gas rate for 5 years. You get the benefit of having a predictable, stable bill.

EasyMax Floating Rate Options

If you are comfortable with changing market conditions and fluctuating electricity and gas rates, then you might consider the floating rate options.

The floating electricity rate will fluctuate month to month depending on the current market conditions and will match the government regulated rate in your area. The floating gas rate will also fluctuate monthly with market prices.

You are also able to mix and match these options, so you may choose fixed gas and floating electricity options. The choice is yours, and you're not locked in. You can change your options at anytime, without penalty, as long as we have 30 days notice.

What's the Regulated Rate (RRO)?

The Regulated Rate the electricity rate set by the government and will fluctuate every month. This rate consists of a fixed charge for costs related to the supply of electricity, and an administration charge, which is the cost incurred for billing, customer care and administration.

ENMAX Energy administers the RRO service on behalf of ENMAX Power. In other areas of the province where ENMAX Energy has contracts to provide RRO service, such as Red Deer, Ponoka, Cardston, Ft. Macleod and Crowsnest Pass, the RRO rates are set by those municipal governments and the RRO service is provided by the ENMAX group of companies.

If you are an ENMAX customer, you may not necessarily be an EasyMax customer.
