1. What is the Bright Nights program?
Bright Nights is an outdoor lighting rental program we offer to both residential and business customers. The residential program gives customers the option to light areas on their private property, such as a dark back alley, for a fee.
2. Where is Bright Nights available?
The program is available to customers in certain areas of Calgary.

3. Why are only certain areas eligible?
The Bright Nights program is available only in areas with overhead power access. This allows us to install the light onto an existing utility pole.
4. Do you have to be an existing ENMAX Energy Customer?
No. If you currently purchase your energy from another provider, we can offer Bright Lights to you. Simply give us a call.

Program Costs
5. What is the cost of Bright Nights?
The cost is only $16.75/month, per light. One household can pay this, or the cost can be split between up to six residences. There is a minimum term of 12 months for the service.
6. What's included in the $16.75 program fee?
$16.75 includes the installation and maintenance of the dusk to dawn light, as well as the electricity required each month.
About the Light
7. How does the light switch on and off?
The lights are fitted with a photocell sensor that will switch the light on at dusk and off and dawn, saving energy and money.
8. How bright is the light?
The light is a 100-watt, energy efficient, high-pressure sodium vapour luminaire or fixture, which provides light in a radius of approximately 40 ft.

Terms and Conditions
9. What is the renewal process of the program after the 12-month term?
After the initial term is completed, the contract is self-renewing month to month with cancellation by either party with 30 days notice.
10. Can the service be cancelled before the 12-month period ends?
If for any reason you need to cancel the agreement, you'll be required to pay a termination fee - the monthly fee multiplied by the number of months remaining in the contract.
12. What if only one person in the program wishes to cancel?
No problem. Simply notify ENMAX in writing 30 days prior to the required cancellation date. The remaining neighbours are then jointly responsible for the remainder of the agreement. You could:
