In order to meet the growing needs of the City of Calgary, the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is proposing the upgrade of the existing transmission system in your area from the existing 69kV to 138kV. ENMAX and the AESO (Alberta Electric System Operator) are committed to working with stakeholders and community members to share information, gather input, and address questions you may have. 
 

Proposed Project
The proposed work would involve converting some existing lines and substations to a higher voltage.

May 26, 27, 28, 29, 2008	Open Houses
August 2008	Application to the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC)
2009	Construction start, pending approval from the AUC
2011	Construction Completion

A comprehensive public consultation program has been developed to provide opportunities for area residents and landowners to be informed about this proposal and to engage with ENMAX in dialogue from the planning phase through construction, through a series of activities including information packages, community open houses and personal meetings.
