ENMAX Power owns, operates and maintains the electricity infrastructure in Calgary and some surrounding areas. The company has delivered safe, reliable electrical power to Calgarians for over 100 years. As the City continues to expand so does the need for electricity. ENMAX Power recognizes the need for more power in some of Calgary’s newest northwest communities such as Evanston and Panorama Hills.
To meet the growing needs of the community, ENMAX is proposing to build a new electrical substation. We are committed to working with key stakeholders and community members to share information, gather input, and address questions you may have. As you’ll see on this map, ENMAX Power has researched the options and has two proposed sites in mind. Before we begin the process we want to understand what questions people who work and live in the area may have regarding the proposed sites.
We hope to address those questions through different public involvement processes, information packages, open houses and meetings.
