Turn off the pilot light on gas fireplaces in the summer.
Install a programmable thermostat to lower the heat when you are away during the day and at night when you sleep.
Make sure to have your furnace cleaned once a year by a trained professional.
Replace your furnace filter once every 2 to 3 months.
Install weather stripping to windows and doors.
Install double-paned windows.
Make sure your house is adequately insulated.
Buy ENERGY STAR® products when choosing natural gas appliances.
