The conference welcomes environmental practitioners, academics, students, and all interested persons regardless of background. Participants may organize sessions (please ask for "Panel Organizer Guidelines"), present papers, participate in poster sessions, chair sessions, discuss papers, participate in round-table discussions, or simply observe.

The goal is to offer one-stop shopping and information for sustainable living solutions so that the average citizen can make positive changes to their environmental impact and reduce their utility costs.

The keynote speaker will be Andrew Nisker, Canadian writer and director of Garbage! The Revolution Starts at Home, a film that features an average urban family who keep all the garbage they produce for three months. The conference will also feature a wide variety of topics and sessions, and potential speakers are welcome to submit ideas for presentations on progressive waste reduction topics, including zero waste, effective education/promotion, and leading-edge technologies.
